This lecture examines aortic pathology of particular relevance to forensic practice, including aortic dissection, aneurysm rupture, and hereditary connective tissue disorders that may present as sudden or unexpected death. Participants will review autopsy techniques for thorough aortic examination and learn to recognize the spectrum of aortic diseases encountered in medicolegal death investigation, with emphasis on accurate cause-of-death certification.
